Abstract
Problem statement: Ritual performances in the life of a person from Hormozgan act as a valuable asset. Hormozgan is a land by the sea, which is known for its virginity and uniqueness. The distinctiveness of this land is due to its characteristics that separate it from the mainland. Among the unique features of the region is its different culture compared to neighboring provinces such as Kerman and more central provinces like Yazd and Isfahan, and its cultural similarity with the lands surrounding the Persian Gulf, India, and Africa. These differences are also the origin of the emergence of special ritual landscapes.
Ritual performances are noteworthy as one of the aspects of the Hormozgan landscape, and in their interpretation, the use of metaphysical visualizations is beneficial. Theatrical behaviors and performances have manifested in various dimensions of the life of a person from Hormozgan, such as public and private celebrations or work and therapy. Rhythmic movements and dances in activities related to sea life, such as fishing, are aimed at finding order and intensifying power. Ceremonies related to maritime culture, such as the Fisherman's New Year and healing rituals influenced by the sea breeze, as well as narrative performances with characters from neighboring coastal lands, are indicative of the cultural diversity and the influence of the sea on this civilization.
Research bjectives: This article aims to explore the essence of Hormozgan's ritual performances and recognize the capacity of its ritual landscape, which is derived from coexistence with the sea and has a special landscape compared to the mainland.
Conclusion: The ceremonial displays of Hormozgan possess characteristics that identify the root of their formation and existence. They narrate the richness of the region's cultural and maritime development, serving as an intangible heritage that can create a foundation for cultural tourism investment.
